She holds LLB. (Hons) from University of London and Certificate of Legal Practice. She was admittted as Advocate and Solicitor of Malaya.

Melvan is a partner in Clara Wong & Co. Melvan involved in a wide range of legal practice areas and appeared at all levels of the Malaysian court hierarchy. He has experience in civil and criminal litigation, insolvency, debt recovery, tortious issues, tenancy dispute, land fraud dispute, employment dispute, family dispute, hire-purchase, probate and letters of administration, execution proceedings, conveyancing matters and etc.
